Presented is a fine cameo brooch set in 14 karat gold. This piece dates to around the 1870s and was probably made in Italy. The cameo depicts a mustached man in profile, bright white against very light pink. The carving is signed AV and is quite skillfully done, with great attention to detail. The cameo is set in a sleek 14 karat gold setting. The brooch has an old C style clasp.
The brooch is in great condition. The details of the carving are nice and crisp. The clasp functions well and closes securely. There are no breaks and no repairs.
