Presented is a very nice ruby and diamond ring. The ruby is a wonderful red color, at least a 40 point or 2/5 carat round cut stone. The ruby is set in the center of the ring with four graduated diamonds set in a row next to it. The diamonds are set in either platinum or white gold. The diamonds are transitional cut stones, with good G-H color and a minimum of SI clarity, if not better. The total diamond weight is approximately 20 points, if not more. The ring is fairly modern.
The ring is unmarked. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14K gold.
The ring is in excellent condition. The stones are very secure. The stones are in good shape. The ruby has a little chip to one side and a bit of surface abrasion to the top edge, but these are only noticeable on very close inspection using a jeweler's loupe. The color is very nice, and the stone is otherwise in great shape. There are no breaks, no cracks, no splits, no dents and no repairs.
The ring is a size 4. It can be sized up or down.
