Presented is an elegant Italian 800 purity silver water pitcher or ewer. This is a relatively contemporary piece, dating to anywhere from the 1950s-1990s, but the look of the piece is timeless. The pitcher is made in a lobed form, with panels of chased stippled texturing on each cardinal side. Three of the panels have a separately cast and applied decoration in the form of an acanthus leaf festoon, finely hand detailed and nicely done. The back panel has the handle, done in a C shape with foliate flourishes at the top and bottom where they join the body. The pitcher has a capacity of about 5 cups, or 40 fluid ounces/1.2 liters.
This piece is in excellent condition. Please note that any black/dark patches in the photos are only reflections of the camera/photography tent opening, and are not tarnish, wear, or damage of any sort. There are no splits, no dents, no leaks, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
