Presented is a fantastic American Victorian 14k gold carved hardstone cameo ring. This ring dates to around 1890-1910. The ring is set with a rectangular piece of onyx or similar black stone, with a raised bust of a lovely woman in Renaissance style garb and her hair in an up-do, in white stone. The setting is simple and stylish, with a crown-like design on the shoulders. The interior of the band has an old inscription, but it is a little too worn to make out clearly.
The ring is in good overall condition. There is a chip to the woman's nose, please let the photos guide your judgment. The setting is in great overall shape, with no breaks and no repairs, only minor surface wear. The ring is stamped 14 for 14k gold on the interior of the band.
