Elegant Antique English 18k Gold & Sapphire Cross Quatrefoil Ring

Presented is an elegant sapphire and 18 karat gold ring. Based on the '18ct' stamp for 18 karat gold, this is probably an English ring, dating to 1860-1910, certainly antique. The ring is set with five oval cut sapphires, arranged in a sort of cross or quatrefoil formation. One of the smaller sapphires is a man-made/lab-grown sapphire, while the rest are natural, mined-from-the-ground sapphires. All the sapphires are well matched in their rich blue colour.

The ring is in great condition. The sapphires are securely set. The sapphires have some minor surface abrasions, but nothing excessive. One of the smaller sapphires has been replaced with a man-made/lab-grown sapphire, while the rest are natural and original to the piece.

The ring is stamped 18ct, for 18 karat gold.

The ring is a size 6 1/4 .

The ring weighs 3.5 grams.
