Egyptian Pharaoh Profile Sterling Silver Mixed Metal Mexico Pin Brooch
Regular price
$102.00
Presented is a fantastic hand-made Mexican modernist piedra negra (black stone) brooch/pin from the mid-1900's. This appealing mixed metal pin features a man's face in profile. The eye appears to be an inlay of crushed green turquoise stone. The gold (brass) and black stripes bordering the face give him an Egyptian pharaoh look, don't you think? The piece is made from sterling silver and brass onlaid onto black resin and finished with a sterling silver back and bar pin with a rollover clasp.
Note: We are also offering the matching earrings in our store if you would like to complete the look!
The back is signed with the initials "JV", and although indistinct, the rest appears to read: "Hecho En Mexico", "Sterling", and "925". We guarantee the sterling silver purity in this pin for you.
The condition of the pin is excellent, with just minor surface wear. We did not polish the pin and so its vintage patina is preserved, but you could.
Dimensions: 1 1/4 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches tall
Weight: 16.6 grams
