Presented is a lovely 14K gold, amethyst and sapphire pin made by Eckfeldt & Ackley of Newark, New Jersey, in very fine quality jewelry manufacturing company. The floral pin has a wonderful two tone design with rose gold for some of the leaves and yellow gold for the petals. The larger flower has a beautiful amethyst prong set at the center, and the smaller flower is set with a vibrant blue sapphire. This pin was made between 1945 to 1958, the height of the retro period.
The pin is marked on the clasp with 14K and a maker’s mark for Eckfeldt & Ackley. We have tested the pin with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14K gold.
The condition is excellent. The stones are well set. There are no chips, no cracks, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The pin measures 1 3/8 inches by 2 inches.
The weight is 13.1 grams.
