Presented is an American coin silver teaspoon and table or place spoon set made by Eleazer Wyer during the first quarter of the 1800s. The teaspoon is in a Coffin-End pattern, which was popular around the time of Washington's death in 1799; it has a monogram of the initials MP. The table or place spoon is in a classic Fiddle pattern and has a monogram of the initials MO at the top. This larger spoon was probably made between 1805 to about 1815.
Both pieces are marked E. Wyer.
This set is in excellent condition, especially for its age. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The spoons measure 6 & 8 3/8 inches long. Weight: 62 grams
