Presented is a delightful modern 14K gold carved hardstone cameo pin or pendant.
The relief cameo carving is of a beautiful young lady with quantities of
abundant curls and an elegant diadem. The depth of the carving is very very
good. The gold setting has elegant openwork done in round arches and peaked
arches. The reverse has a hinged bale so that it can be worn as a pendant. The
bale is sizeable and will accommodate most chains. This was likely made in
Italy after World War II.
The piece is marked 14K on the reverse. We have tested it with nitric acid
and guarantee the frame to be 14K.
The condition is excellent. The stone cameo is in fantastic shape, with no
chips. There are no breaks, no cracks, no splits, no dents, no chips, no
monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The cameo measures 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/8 inches.
The item weight is 12.3 grams.
