Presented is a fine quality, sterling silver compote or small centerpiece bowl made by Wallace Silversmiths during the late 1800s or early 1900s. The flared, ruffled rim and the pedestal base have a raised and detailed band of flourishing scroll and leaf decorations. The bowl is rather deep.
The underside is marked with the Wallace hallmark and sterling.
This piece is in excellent overall condition and the designs are crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The compote measures 10 1/4 inches in diameter, is 4 7/8 inches tall and weighs 443 grams or 15.6 ounces.
