Presented is a stunning 18 karat gold and diamond stickpin. This piece was likely made in America, and dates to around the 1980s-1990s. The head of the pin is done in a classic heart design, set with 18 modern brilliant cut diamonds. The diamonds are vibrant, dazzling stones of VVS to VS-1 clarity and G/H color, about 4 points each in size, for a total diamond weight of about 72 points, or just shy of three quarters of a carat.
This pin is in great condition. The diamonds are well set, all intact and secure. There are no breaks and no repairs.
This piece is not stamped or hallmarked, but we have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee the head of the pin to be 18 karat gold, on a 14 karat gold shaft.
The pin is about 2 1/2 inches long.
The total weight for the piece, including the stopper bead, is 2.9 grams. The weight of just the pin, without the stopper bead, is 2.4 grams.
