Presented is a lovely pair of Herend porcelain egg cups. These cups are made in the classic Market Garden pattern, which features finely handpainted decoration in the form of colorful fruits, vegetables, mushrooms and flowers. The cups are numbered 262, though each has different decoration as these are hand decorated pieces.
This pattern matches very closely with Herend pattern Rothschild Fruits Necker. The two patterns are nearly indistinguishable.
This pair of cups is in excellent condition. The painted decoration and the gilding on the rims is in great shape, with no noticeable losses to the paint that I can spot.
Each cup is signed on the underside with the Herend mark in underglaze blue, as well as the number 262.
