Classy Graduated Pearl Strand Necklace w 14k White Gold Filigree Clasp

Presented is a single strand of graduated pearls, with a 14 karat white gold filigree clasp. The necklace dates to around the 1950s-1960s, and the pearls are likely Japanese in origin. These are great quality old pearls, nicer and with heavier nacre than their more modern counterparts, and the pearls are particularly well matched in color as well. The pearls range in size from 3.3 millimeters in diameter to 7.2 millimeters in diameter. The strand has a plunge/hook style clasp which is quite secure. The pearls are individually knotted. This is a classy, elegant necklace in a timeless style.

The necklace is in great condition. The pearls are clean and in good shape. The clasp functions well and closes securely.

The tongue of the clasp is stamped 14k.

The necklace is about 18 3/4 inches long, not including the tongue of the clasp, which does not contribute to the overall length when worn.
