Classy 10k Gold Diamond & Pearl Art Nouveau Lavaliere Crescent Flower Necklace

Presented is a lovely 10 karat gold, diamond and pearl lavaliere necklace. This is an American piece, dating to the Art Nouveau time period and done very much in that style. The pendant is done as a crescent with a flower in the center and three baroque pearl drops. The petals of the flower are beautifully enameled in delicate translucent pink, with fine realistic texturing beneath. The center of the flower is set with an old mine cut diamond, of about 6 points in size, very vibrant and dazzling. The crescent is set with graduated seed pearls. The three pearl drops have brilliant lustre and appealing natural shapes. The chain consists of single oval links alternating with groups of round links. The pendant has a good large bail, so it could be used with a wide variety of chains, if you choose not to use the one it comes with.

The necklace is in great condition. The topmost petal of the pendant has a flake to its enamel, while the two bottom petals have tiny chips to the enamel at their tips. Otherwise the enamel is in good shape. The diamond is well set. All the pearls are intact.

The pendant is not stamped or hallmarked, but we have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 10 karat gold, and the chain is 10 karat gold as well. The springring clasp is stamped 14k, but this is a replacement clasp.

The chain is about 15 7/8 inches long. The pendant is about 2 inches long.

This piece weighs 8.7 grams.
