Classical Carved Shell Cameo 10k Gold Pearl Pin/Pendant of Goddess Diana

Presented is a nice carved shell cameo in a 10K gold and pearl-studded frame.
The cameo is carved to depict a classical young woman, in this case the Greek
Goddess Diana in side profile with a large moon-shaped barrett or comb on top of
her head and a fancy updo. The moon is on of Diana's symbols. The cameo is
prong set in a yellow gold frame set away from the edge of the cameo, to give an
impression that the cameo is floating within the gold frame. Four tiny pearls
are set at the prongs. The pearls are all half drilled mounted on gold prongs
and glued, very secure and good quality. The pin has a loop or bale at the top
so that it can also be worn as a pendant.
The pin is unmarked. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee the
setting to be 10K gold. The clasp part on the reverse is a replacement and not
gold.
The condition is excellent. The clasp is in great working order. There are
no splits, no breaks, and no repairs other than the clasp as mentioned above.
The pin measures 1 1/2 inches by 1 inch.
The weight is 5.0 grams.
