Classic American 14k White Gold Cameo Brooch / Pin / Pendant

Presented is a beautiful cameo set in 14 karat white gold. This is an American piece, dating to the early 1900s. The cameo is wonderfully carved, depicting a pretty young woman with a flower in her hair. The setting is done in a lovely openwork filigree design, with nicely hand engraved floral and foliate decoration at the corners. The cameo has a lever catch style safety clasp, as well as a retractable bail so it can be worn as a pendant

This piece is in great overall condition. There is a minor dent to the frame, from about the 5 o'clock to 6 o'clock position. Please view the photos for the best idea of how this minor dent appears. The cameo itself is crisp and clean, with no chips and no cracks. The clasp functions well and closes securely.

The piece is stamped and guaranteed 14k, as well as a maker's mark.
