Presented is a nice vintage American sterling silver compote or serving dish. This piece has beautiful hand chased lattice and leaves throughout. In the center of the dish there is monogram “BHP” with writing around it; “From War College, (The US Army War College in Carlisle, PA) Student Officers, Members of Class June 1920”. There is gorgeous open pierced work throughout the edge of the dish on the top and bottom. The dish has a lovely raised border. The dish is great quality and well made. Let the photos be your guide. This piece was made circa 1920.

The dish is marked Black, Starr & Frost, New York, and sterling.

This compote is in good condition. There are no repairs, no monogram removals, and no problems.
