Charming Old c1900 10k Yellow Gold/Purple Glass Seed Pearl Art Nouveau Pin

Presented is a pretty little gold, purple glass, and seed pearl Art Nouveau pendant or pin/brooch.

It was made circa 1900.

This piece is stamped 10k on the back of the clasp.

I am reminded of the elaborate and beautiful decoration of an exotic insect when I look at this pin.

The top is in the form of a stylistic butterfly, or, perhaps, a beetle.

There is a bezel set diamond shaped purple glass gem, resembling an amethyst, in the center.

Directly above the purple glass, to either side, are 2 silvery seed pearls.

The gold mounting of the pin is well decorated and has much visual appeal.

The back of the pin works quite well, with no issues of any kind.  There is a loop which allows the piece to be worn as a pendant.

The surface of the glass gem is slightly scratched, but overall this piece is in gorgeous condition.
