Charming c1910s Yellow Guilloche Enamel Floral Roses Rouge Blush Compact Mirror

Presented is a charming antique enamel rouge compact, made in the United States and dating to around the 1900s-1920s. The exterior of the compact is done in cheerful yellow guilloche enamel, nicely translucent to show the intricate machine-turned pattern on the metal underneath. The center of the lid has a colorful design of roses and violets, on green leafy stems, with little gold flourishes around the exterior. Inside the compact, one side has a little lift-up panel in a stylized scallop shell sort of design, which reveals an applicator, while the other has a mirror that opens to reveal a cake of rouge or blush, still mostly covered by its original foil. This could be replaced with the makeup of your choice. This compact is in great overall condition. There is one shallow chip/flake to the enamel at one spot on the underside; we point this out in the fifth photograph but it is very hard to see even in person. The compact snaps shut well and the applicator is present.
