Charming Art Deco Antique Sterling Silver Marcasite Lizard Gecko Salamander Pin

Presented is a very charming antique sterling silver and marcasite pin or brooch in the shape of a lizard. This piece dates to the early 1900s and is possibly of Austrian make. The pin is made in the Art Deco style of the time to which it dates, set with marcasites along the back and head of the lizard and with fine milgrain finish engraving, along the edges and feet, so the pin has an appealing sparkle. The clasp on the back is an old capped safety style.

This piece is in excellent condition. The marcasites are all intact. The clasp works well and closes securely.

The pin is stamped 925 for sterling silver, nitric acid tested and guaranteed.

This piece measures about 1 7/8 inches long.
