Charming 18k Yellow Gold Pearl Sapphire Ruby Realistic Grape Cluster Pin Brooch

Presented is a beautiful vintage 18 karat yellow gold, pearl, sapphire and ruby pin or brooch. This piece dates to around the 1960s-1970s and is likely of continental European origin, possibly Italian. The brooch is made in the form of a cluster of grapes, realistically rendered complete with vine, branch, and a single leaf. The 'grapes' are all pearls, ranging from around 4.5 to 5.4 millimeters in diameter, some more baroque in shape than others (just like real grapes). The grape leaf is set with 24 little round cut sapphires, well matched in rich blue color and sparkle, and a single ruby at the base of the stem. The branch has a subtle realistic texture to the gold, which is a nice touch-- the whole thing is wonderfully well made, truly exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. The clasp is a capped safety style, which is quite secure.
