c1905 American 14k Gold Platinum Topped Edwardian Filigree Openwork Brooch/Pin

Presented is a vintage, 14 karat and platinum brooch or pin made in America
by Link & Co during the early 20th century. The whole piece is made out of
solid 14 karat gold and is plated on the top with platinum. The pin is done in a
lovely filigree form and the top has a milgrain finish. This is a very pretty
pin that would look great on a black or dark colored piece of clothing. The
clasp has a safety latch for added security.
 
The clasp is marked 14K and has a maker’s mark. The top of this piece has been tested with nitric
acid and is guaranteed to be platinum purity.
 
This piece is in fabulous condition, especially considering its age. There are no damages and no
repairs.
 
The pin measures 1 5/8 inches wide and weighs 3.5 grams.
