Presented is a superb quality round porcelain platter or serving dish. This piece dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The platter is beautifully hand painted by Julius H. Brauer, and made by Tesseman & Vogt Limoges. The platter features a striking design of bright red flowers and green leaves and vines, against a green-yellow background. The rim and center medallion are gilded, for a nice contrast. This piece came to us with a set of Pickard bouillon bowls and underplates, and Julius Brauer was an artist for Pickard at one time, so it's possible this is a Pickard piece as well. Whatever the case it this is a beautiful round platter or charger, in a large, useable size.

The dish is signed Jul. H. Brauer on the underside as well as 'hand painted china.' and T & V Limoges France, for Tresseman & Vogt.

This piece is in great overall condition. There is a minor chip to the rim, which is not very noticeable from the top side. Otherwise there are no other chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. Please let the photos guide your judgment.

The platter measures about 13 ½ inches in diameter.
