Presented is a pair of antique, bisque porcelain figurines made between the 1880's and the very early 1900s. This set was made in Germany by the Huebach company and is hand made and hand painted. The children's faces are very attractive and the pieces are nicely colored. There is great whimsy in one piece in particular, showing a boy apparently climbing atop the doghouse upon being frightened by the bulldog coming out and not biting him, but instead, licking his shoe! The underside of each piece is incised with "GH DEP" and "Germany" as well as the piece's identifying number.

This set is in fabulous condition considering its age. There are no damages and no repairs.

The figures are about 4 1/4 and 4 1/2 inches tall, by about 4 to 4 1/2 inches wide, and about 2 1/4 inches deep.
