c1900 Antique American 10k Yellow Gold Natural Pearl Opal Spiral Pin Brooch
Regular price
$280.80
Presented is an old, 10 karat gold, natural pearl and opal pin or small brooch
made during the late 19th century. This piece is American in origin and was made
between 1890 and 1910. The pin is done in a pretty sun burst or swirl form. The
piece is set with natural seed pearls and fiery opals that have bright flecks of
color. The opals are no doublets or triplets, you can see their backs. The pin
still has its original C style clasp.
The back of the pin is marked solid gold, we have tested it with nitric acid
and guarantee it to be 10 karat gold purity.
This piece is in good overall condition, especially considering its age. One of the five outer opals has a very small chip which you can only notice using a loupe; it is very small. The center opal has 3 small chips next to each other. This is visible in the photos. The photos are highly enlarged. When you view this item in person these chips are not visible unless you have very good eyes and are very close.
There are no missing pieces and no repairs.
