Presented is a tradition, Russian lacquer paper mache box made between 1880 and 1910. The top has a classical genre scene of a man in a horse drawn carriage. The box is a good size and there is typical crackulature on the lid.
The inside of the lid has a worn signature.
This piece is in good condition for its age. There is one chip to one corner of the lid. The hinge is in great condition. There are no other damages and no repairs.
Measurements: 2 1/8 by 4 1/2 inches and 1 1/4 inches tall.
