Presented is a fantastic quality antique Victorian 14 karat yellow gold and seed pearl watch chain or necklace. This piece dates to circa 1870-1910, and was made in America. The chain is a wonderfully made foxtail style chain, very sleek and fine. Set at regular intervals along the chain are ten seed pearls, about 3.5-4 millimeters in diameter. We strongly believe that these are real, natural pearls, due to the age of the piece. The chain ends in a dog clip style swivel clasp, which would originally have been for a fob or pendant watch, but can be used now as a clasp so the chain can be worn doubled, as a very classy and elegant station necklace.

The clasp of the chain is stamped 14, for 14 karat gold. We have tested all parts with nitric acid and guarantee that the chain is at least 14 karat gold.

This piece is in excellent condition. The chain is smooth and clean, no kinks, breaks, or repairs. The pearls are all intact.

The total length including the clasp, is about 24 1/4 inches long.
This is with the chain doubled, but the actual circumference/non-doubled length of just the chain is about 47 inches.
