c1870s Charming Victorian 14k 2 Tone Rose & Yellow Gold Chain Bracelet
Regular price
$604.80
Presented is a charming American Victorian 14 karat gold bracelet. This piece dates to around the 1860s-1880s. The bracelet is done in an appealing two-tone style, with bright yellow gold links in the high Victorian style and rose gold plaques across alternating links. The little rose gold plaques have a floral design hand engraved to a bright yellow gold underneath. This bracelet likely began life as part of a longer necklace, later converted into at least three bracelets, as we have three of these bracelets. The bracelet has a more modern style springring type clasp.
The bracelet is in great overall condition. There are a couple of minor touches of solder here and there, but nothing significant or noticeable during casual wear. The clasp functions well and closes securely. The clasp is more modern than the rest of the bracelet, as this piece was likely converted from a larger necklace at some point.
The bracelet has no stamps or hallmarks, as is typical for American pieces from this time period. We have tested the piece with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14 karat gold.
The bracelet is about 6 3/4 inches long.
The bracelet weighs 9.6 grams.
