c1865-1880 American Antique Sterling Silver Shiebler? Medallion Bar Pin Brooch

Presented is a beautiful sterling silver bar pin or lapel pin. This is an
American piece, dating to around 1865-1880. The pin is done in the form of a
horizontal bar covered with a detailed floral design, with a medallion hanging
from the center of the bar. The medallion depicts a classical Greco-Roman woman
in profile with her hair up in a wreath or headband, like you would see on an
ancient coin. This pin is done very much in the style of Shiebler's classically
inspired coin/medallion bar pins, and may be his work, although it is not
signed. The pin clasp is a more modern replacement, and has a rollover style
safety clasp.
