Presented is a large sterling silver serving fork from the mid-19th century, 1855-1870. This piece displays fabulous hand engraved scrolls and leaves on the fork tines. The handle has a detailed beaded edge with a pointed end. The handle end is monogrammed on the front with ATM in a flowing script. This piece has substantial weight.
The reverse is marked sterling along with JE Caldwell & Co.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. The beaded edge is crisp on both sides of the handle. The engraved elements are well-defined. There are no breaks, no repairs, and no problems, of any kind.
