Presented is a wonderful set of 6 American coin silver spoons. These spoons date to circa 1850-1860. The spoons are done in a lovely rope-turn and shell pattern, with a leaf design at the end of the handle. The back of each handle is inscribed with 'M.W.B to' while the front has a monogram of 'A.B.' in Gothic script.
The spoons are in great condition. The details of the pattern are quite crisp. There are no dents, no splits, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The spoons are stamped coin on the back of the stems.
Each spoon is about 6 inches long.
The total weight for the set of spoons is 136 grams or 4.8 regular ounces.
