Presented is a lovely Victorian pin or brooch in 14 karat gold. This is an American piece dating to around the 1850s-1870s. The front of the pin is a round gold dome or button shape, with a rich deep finish, surrounded by decorative gold beading. The back of the pin has a removable bezel and glass, so it could be set with a photo. The pin's clasp is done in the old C style, with a strong hinge and good spring mechanism to it. There is also a hook where some kind of dangle could be added, or the hook could be used as a loop to add the pendant to a chain or strand of pearls.
This pin is in great condition. There is some minor surface wear, but nothing excessive. The glass of the back has no breaks and no repairs. There are no breaks and no repairs.
