c1850 14k & Carved Hardstone Flower Florette Bar Pin Brooch
Regular price
$302.40
Presented is a unique, 14 karat yellow gold and carved hardstone bar pin. We believe the three gold bezel set, carved stone medallions were originally studs or cufflinks that have been converted into a pin. The medallions were carved and set during the mid 1800s and they were made into a pin around 1910 to 1930. Each medallion is beautifully carved and set into a decorative, textured gold bezel. This is a lovely little pin. This pin is American or Italian in origin.
The three disc mounts for the hard stones have been tested with nitric acid and are guaranteed to be 14k gold. The bar behind the three disks is not gold.
This pin is in excellent overall condition. One of the flowers has a tiny chip, but this is only visible upon very close inspection. There are no other
flaws and no repairs.
