Presented is a fantastic set of 8 antique cut glass dessert or finger bowls. These bowls date to circa 1830-1870 and are likely of American or English make. The bowls are beautifully cut with brilliant strawberry diamond and fan designs. A handsome set in a classic style.
This set is in good overall condition. Two of the bowls have rim chips, extending into cracks. One crack is about about 1 inch long, the other is longer, extending almost to the foot. These can be seen in the seventh and eighth photos. One bowl has a very minor chip to the foot. There are a couple of minor fleabites here and there. There are no other chips, no other cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.
Each bowl measures about 4 5/8 inches in diameter and stands about 3 inches tall.
