Presented is a great set of 12 American coin silver teaspoons. The spoons were made by Philadelphia silversmith Conrad Bard, circa 1825-1855. These spoons are made in the Prince Albert pattern, a classical pattern featuring shell and foliate decoration on the handles. This pattern was very popular in the early to mid 1800s and is still quite popular today. Many high end makers including John Polhemus and Tiffany & Co produced this pattern, so these spoons would be easy to match to a set. Each spoon has a monogram of EHP on the handle in script.
These spoons are in great condition, like the day they were made. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The spoons stack perfectly.
Each spoon is stamped with the maker's mark for Conrad Bard of Philadelphia, as well as his address of 206 Arch St. The spoons are tested and guaranteed coin (900) purity silver.
Each spoon is about 5 7/8 inches long.
The total weight for the set is 388 grams or 13.7 regular ounces. -jm
