Presented is a fine pair of American coin silver serving or table spoons. These spoons are by T.K. Emery. The spoons date to circa 1810-1820, or even slightly older for the spoon with the notched corners on the handle. The spoons are done in a classic Fiddle pattern, with a downward turned handle and shoulders above the bowl. One of the spoons has an old monogram of 'JDW' in script. Beneath this monogram is a presentation inscription, 'C.L.W.F. to J.D.W.M.' The other spoon has a presentation inscription of 'DW to DWW.'
The spoons are in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each spoon is stamped on the back with the maker's mark for T. K. Emery of Boston.
Each spoon is about 9 1/4 inches long.
The total weight for the pair is 144 grams or 5.1 regular ounces. -jm
