Presented is a neat old Chinese export porcelain teapot, dating to circa 1790. The teapot is made in a classical form, white with hand painted floral decoration in green, pink and red. The teapot has a classical crossed strap form handle, with vibrant red floral designs in relief where the handle joins the body.
This teapot is in good overall condition. There are some visible hairlines, but none that extend all the way to the rim or the foot, it is more like one connected spider hairline with a wide span. We are not certain the lid is original. Please view all photos carefully. There are no chips and no repairs.
The teapot measures about 9 1/2 inches from spout to handle, and stands about 5 7/8 inches to the top of the lid. -jm
