Presented is an excellent antique English china sugar bowl with lid and creamer with underplate, dating to around 1790-1820. The pieces are white, with intricate gold gilt decoration around the sides. The sugarbowl is oval in form with handles on the sides, in almost a fleur de lis form, with fixed gold rings beneath, and an urn form finial to the lid. The creamer is a wide shallow style, and would be equally usable as a gravy or sauce boat, particularly as it comes with an underplate.
These pieces are in excellent overall condition, particularly for their age. There is some minor wear to the gilding, but nothing excessive. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.
The sugar bowl measures about 6 1/2 by 4 1/8 by 5 1/2 inches, LxWxH.
The creamer measures about 6 inches handle to spout and stands about 5 inches to the top of the handle. The underplate measures about 7 1/2 by 6 1/8 inches. -jm
