Regular price
$594.00
Presented is a lovely sterling silver American creamer in an 18th-century English style. This piece displays a classical English shape with a tall ribbed foot, scroll handle, and wide spout. This piece has been engraved with a crest of a collared greyhound (or similar dog breed) below the spout.
This piece was likely produced in America in the 1760s-1770s and is at least .900 purity silver. There are no hallmarks.
The creamer is in great overall condition. There are a few imperfections where the handle meets the body. There seems to be a small split in the body where the top of the handle meets and a solder repair where the base of the handle meets the body. There are no other breaks, splits, or repairs.
Measurements: 4 1/4 inches from spout to handle and 4 1/8 inches tall
Weight: 125 grams or 4.4 ounces -kc
