Presented is a very impressive vintage Peruvian sterling silver vase, dating to around the 1950s-1960s. The vase is made in a very classical form, overall wide but tapering to the base and featuring beautifully hand chased decoration around the shoulder and bottom. The chasing is well done, depicting bold round flowers and scrolled foliage at the top and smaller leaves and petals around the bottom, all against a background of finely engraved texturing, so the details really pop. The rest of the silver has a hand hammered finish, which catches the light very attractively. This is a very striking piece, perfect for a large size bouquet.

This piece is in excellent condition. There is one small dent to the base, which we point out in the tenth photograph. There is a vertical seam visible moreso on the interior than the exterior, which is original to the construction of the piece. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

This piece is stamped on the underside with 925 for sterling silver Peru, an 'Industria' mark that is doublestruck, and a maker's mark in the shape of a leaf.

The vase stands about 11 inches tall and measures about 4 7/8 inches at the base, or about 7 1/2 inches in diameter at the top.

The vase weighs 809 grams or 28.5 regular ounces. -jm
