Beautiful Porter Blanchard Sterling Silver 3pc Demitasse Coffee or Tea Set

Presented is an exceptional quality Porter Blanchard sterling silver three piece tea or demitasse coffee set, dating to circa 1934. The set consists of a tall pot, a double handle sugar bowl, and a creamer, all in a graceful round bodied style with curved handles and round pedestal feet. The pieces are all beautifully handwrought, with the marks of hand hammering visible in the finish. The underside of the foot of the pot has a presentation inscription reading AMM October 10th, 1934. Neither of the other pieces has any inscription, and none of the pieces have any monograms or presentation to the sides where they would be easily visible. These are heavy weight, well made pieces, with a great feeling of weight and quality in the hand. The pot has a capacity of about 3 cups (24 fluid ounces710 milliliters).

This set is in excellent overall condition. Some very minor surface wear, as these pieces have not been machine polished. The interior of the pot has a little discoloration from tea or coffee. There are no splits, no dents, no leaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

Each piece is stamped on the underside with the Porter Blanchard maker's mark as well as sterling.

The teapot stands about 11 inches to the top of the finial and measures about 3 3/8 inches in diameter at the base. The creamer stands about 5 inches tall. The sugar bowl measures about 3 3/4 inches tall.

The total weight for the set is 1074 grams or 37.9 regular ounces. -jm
