Presented is a beautiful coin silver master butter knife, circa 1845 to 1855. This piece displays scrolls and leaves along the handle with fancy engraved scrolls on one side of the blade. The other side of the blade has been monogrammed. Under the maker's mark is “LAC” in a flowing script. The center of the blade displays a Gothic style M with a flowing E in front of it.
One side of the blade is marked with a maker's mark, likely Montgomery & Co.
Tested and guaranteed coin silver.
This piece is in great overall condition. The engravings on the blade are well-defined. There are no breaks and no repairs.
