Presented is a beautiful English porcelain covered entree dish from Cauldon. This piece displays fancy gilded wreath decorations around the double gilded ring handles on the sides and lid. The border on the lid and dish have a lovely cobalt and decorated gold border. The dish stands on 4 scroll feet. This lovely serving piece was made in the early 1900s, between 1900 to 1925.
The inside of the lid and under the dish are marked Cauldon England along with the import mark for Jones McDuffee and Stratton and the manufacturer Brown, Westhead, Moore & Co.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. It has a very minor wobble, hardly worth mentioning. The decorations are bright and the gilding is in great shape. There are no breaks, no cracks, no chips, and no repairs.
Measurements: 13 1/4 inches long, 7 3/4 inches wide, and 7 inches tall with lid -kc
