Presented is a beautiful aventurine topped silver box. This piece dates to the 20th century. The box is oval in shape, with a flat top made of sparkling green aventurine. The aventurine has natural striations and is translucent when held to the light. The sides of the box are nicely engraved with intricate floral designs, in a sort of Indian style. This is a good sized box, suitable for use as a jewelry box or anything else you like.
The box is in great condition. The box closes well and the hinge is strong. The details of the design are quite crisp. The aventurine has no chips, no cracks, no problems. The silver is in good shape as well, with no splits, no dents, and no repairs.

The box weighs 459 grams. Obviously considering the stone in the lid this is not all silver weight, but the amount of silver is considerable.
