Presented is a lovely antique gilt and enamel decorated glass pitcher, likely of French make. The pitcher dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The glass is clear, with finely hand gilt detailing and vibrant designs of clusters of grapes and leaves, all on gilt 'vines'. The body of the pitcher has a vertical paneled design. The pitcher has a capacity of about 10 cups, or 80 fluid ounces/2.36 liters.
This piece is in excellent condition. The gilding and decoration are in great shape. No chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.
The pitcher stands about 7 7/8 inches tall and measures about 8 3/4 from the back of the handle to the lip of the spout. -jm
