Presented is a set of 17 great French porcelain plates from 1870s. The set displays a gorgeous orange pattern with classic French scroll and leafy details around border with a gold edge. The design has an applied darker orange border with the light orange being hand painted. There is a stylized monogram at the center at each bowl, a W and T, interwoven, made up of the orange style decorations and pink roses to make up the letters.
The underside of each plate is marked “Ernie Du Bac Paris”, and “71” likely for 1871.

The plate set is in good overall condition. As seen in the photos, there is a some variation in the condition of the gilded edge and the center monogram. 3 of the 17 plates have a small hairline crack. These cracks are minor and aren't longer than about an inch. 1 plate has a very small chip which can only be seen on the underside of the plate. The orange borders are mostly well-defined.
