Beautiful 14k Yellow Gold ~.25ct Diamond & Sapphire Ring Size 8.25
Presented is a beautiful 14 karat yellow gold, diamond and sapphire ring. This
is an American piece, dating to around the 1960s-1970s. The ring is set with two
curved rows of alternating sapphires and diamonds, above a sort of basket like
design in ropetwist texture as well as high finish gold. There are 4 modern
brilliant cut diamonds and six round cut sapphires. The diamonds range in size,
with the largest about 15 points, for a total carat weight of at least 25
points, or a quarter of a carat. The sapphires also range in size, with the
largest about 15-18 points, totaling at least 33 points, or a third of a carat. The
diamonds are vibrant, dazzling stones, full of life and fire. The sapphires are
well matched in their attractive vivid blue color. All the stones are set in
white gold so they really pop.
sapphire has a tiny chip, but this is hard to notice without close inspection
using magnification. Some of the other sapphires have surface abrasions, which
again are hard to notice without using a jeweler's loupe.
The ring is stamped and guaranteed 14k.
The ring is a size 8 1/4. The head of the ring is about 16 millimeters wide
(north to south) and the band, at the narrowest point, is about 2 millimeters
wide.
The ring weighs 7.1 grams.
