Beautiful 14k Gold Onyx Inlay Native American Indian Pendant
Presented is a beautiful 14 karat gold, synthetic opal and onyx inlay pendant. This is a relatively modern piece, very likely of Native American/American Indian make. The pendant is done as a circle with an arrow-shaped dangle hanging from the bottom. The circle portion has a neat geometric design, while the arrowhead shape has horizontal stripes. The inlay work is very finely and neatly done, and the contrast of black onyx and fiery opal is very appealing. The opal is a high quality synthetic opal. The pendant has a good large size bail or loop at the top, so it will fit a variety of cord or chain styles. Unfortunately we do not know the maker, but we found another example of their work, in the same style and with the same hallmarks, on the N8tiveart website.
The pendant is stamped on the back of the bail with 14k and a maker's mark of SK.
The pendant is about 3 1/4 inches long.
This piece weighs 11.3 grams.
