Presented is a fine old sterling silver pie or pastry server by Arthur Stone, dating to around the first quarter of the 1900s. The server is beautifully handwrought in a “pointed end” type of pattern, with simple but finely engraved decoration around the handle, most notably a little loop design at the tip.
Very well made, solid piece, great for a wide variety of serving purposes. If there is a name for this pattern, please feel free to let us know.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The stem is stamped with the maker's mark for Arthur Stone, as well as sterling and the benchworker's initial T for Herbert A. Taylor.
This piece measures about 8 7/8 inches long.
