Presented is an English silverplate two-handled sauce dish from the luxury Cunard White Star ships. This piece, likely from 1900-1920, displays stylish Art Deco style decorations on the handles. The lid has a notch for a ladle.
The underside of the piece is marked silverplated along with the maker's mark for Elkington & Co. The piece is also marked with “Cunard White Star” and with 1 1/2 Pints.
This piece is in AS IS condition, likely from a lot of use. There is a dent on the side of the bowl and surface scratches throughout the piece. The lid has dents and ripples on the edge which are represented well in the photos. The piece has no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs.
Measurements: 9 1/2 inches across from handle to handle 6 inches in diameter 4 1/4 inches tall with lid -kc
